Willard Lee Obituary

Willard "Leamon" Lee, 88, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, formerly of the Dixie and Lake City area, passed peacefully from this earthly world into eternity with his Lord and Savior on August 22, 2025, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, surrounded by his loving family. Leamon was born on August 19, 1937, in Dixie, Arkansas, to Harold Eugene and Junie Parthena Lee. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and faithfully served Him throughout his life. Leamon was a true example of a Godly man and will be deeply missed. He served as a song leader, deacon, Sunday School superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and above all, a devoted servant of the Lord. He was a member of Summers Missionary Baptist Church in Summers, Arkansas. Leamon cherished his family and was always there for them. His greatest lesson to those he loved was to trust the Lord and be faithful in His work. He found joy in traveling, marveling at God's creations, and always planning his next trip with his well-used atlas nearby. Music was always in his heart, and his hands were rarely still-building, crafting, and even constructing a rock wall behind the family home in Hardy. Leamon worked in the fields and cotton gin for many years before joining Singer Sewing as a cabinet builder and showroom designer. He later worked at Hytrol Conveyor until his retirement. In 1997, Leamon married Helen (Rose) Lee, and together they built a happy life in Hardy, enjoying their porch swings and the beauty of each day. Later, they moved to Prairie Grove to be closer to family, where many wonderful adventures continued. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eugene Lee; mother, Junie P. Lee; four brothers, Jr. Lee, Donald Lee, Bobby Joe Lee, and Glenn Lee; a sister, Teresa Lee; and his first wife, Mary Alice. Leamon is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Helen; his brother Fred Lee (Brenda) of St. Louis, Missouri; sister Mary June Fields of Missouri; his children Craig Lee (Lisa), Sam Lee (Cheryl), Amos Chambers III, and Jennifer Samuel-Haeg (Blake); grandchildren Sammy Jr., Josh, Christy, Tori, Jacob, Isaac, Andrew, and Jack; and great-grandchildren Christeen, Eli, Bobby Jr., and Ely May. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Emerson Funeral Home with Craig Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Sammy Lee Jr., Jacob Chambers, Clint Ray, Isaac Greenwood, Andrew Samuel, and Eli Lee. The honorary pallbearers are Jack Samuel, Jake Gilley, Charles Byrd, and Blake Haeg.
