TRUMANN - Ashley Lynn Rawls Smith, 39, of Trumann, died Friday, June 28, 2024, in Lepanto. She was born in Fort Smith and lived most of the past 13 years in Trumann, moving here from Paris, Ark.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Paris and was employed by the JMS steel mill. She loved to fish, jam to her music, spend time with her godchildren Penelope, Calvon and Landon, and spend time talking with her best friend, Tammy Cooper.
Ashley was preceded in death by her daughter, Sophia Ferguson, son, Sawyer Ferguson, and her grandparents, Virginia Brown and George Smith.
Ashley is survived by mother, Tina Lanman of the home; father and bonus mom, Alan and Dorenen Smith of Trumann; one brother, Michael Smith of Clarksville; grandmother, Marilyn Smith of Keller, Texas; grandfather, Jim Burnett of Paris; four aunts, Theresa Rains, Lisa Mott, Mary Ann Hanfelt and Gena Terrell; two uncles, Tom Smith and Fred Ornsbey; several nieces and nephews; and many other extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Old Landmark Worship Center in Trumann. A celebration of life service will follow at 2 p.m. with Ricky Lee officiating. Burial will be private.

Ashley I can't believe that you're gone!! seems like yesterday we was at school and I was chasing your babies around to give you a break!! We graduated and then tragedy struck with your babies!! And now you?? I'll miss you forever baby girl!! I love you so much Ash!!
