Billy Crego Obituary

JONESBORO - William "Billy" Zachary Crego, 42, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. He was born on April 16, 1983, to Phillip Crego and Janet Parker Crego Bowers, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Crego. Survivors include his mother, Janet Bowers (Jerry) of Jonesboro; brother, Joey Crego of Jonesboro; sister, Liz Crego (Pilar) of Fayetteville; step-sisters, Britney Dalton (TJ) of Jonesboro, and Amanda Bowers of Jonesboro.

Billy graduated from JHS in 2001 and was very active in the Hurricane Marching Band and Drum Line. He attended Arkansas State University and is a very vocal supporter of the Red wolves. Billy had so much love and loyalty for all of his family and friends. Much like his father, Billy was proud to be a Jonesboro native. In his free time, you could find him hanging out with his beloved dog, Remy. He was known by so many and loved by all.

Please join all of his family and loved ones at a celebration of life and remembrance for Billy, Friday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott, Jonesboro, 4811 E. Johnson Ave., in Jonesboro. All other services will be private.
