JONESBORO - Carolyn Kay Wiggins, 70, of Jonesboro went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 31, 2022. She was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Dec. 4, 1952, to George Boland and Alvis Kingery.
She grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from Parkland High School. She received certification as a respiratory therapist at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a respiratory therapist at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem when she met and married Dr. Lynn Wiggins. They moved to Jonesboro in 1984.
She was a homemaker, raising two children. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Lynn Wiggins of the home; sister, Vicky Martin (Dr. Russell) of Asheville, N.C.; daughter, Meredith Argo (Adam) of Longmont, Colo.; grandchildren, Hattie Argo, Moses Argo and Jubilee Argo; son, Adam Wiggins (Jessi) of Arvada, Colo., with grandchildren, Judah Wiggins and Graham Wiggins.
A celebration of life memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Adam Wiggins officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 Friday night at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
