Coalt McDonald Obituary

ASH FLAT - Coalt Preston McDonald, 41, of Ash Flat, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 30, 1983, in Austin, Texas, to Terry McDonald and Karen O'Connor.

Coalt was the co-owner of Meacham's Family Restaurant in Ash Flat, where he became known not only for his talent in the kitchen but for his warmth and friendliness.

He was a devoted father who cherished every moment with his sons and enjoyed sharing his passions with them. Coalt had a love for technology and spent much of his free time playing "League of Legends" on his computer, where he formed lasting friendships through his gaming community. A dedicated sports enthusiast, he was a lifelong fan of the Las Vegas Raiders.

An animal lover with a soft heart, Coalt's furry companion, Jasper, was always by his side. He took joy in caring for his family, whether through his culinary skills or simply spending time with them.

Coalt was preceded in death by his father, Terry McDonald, and his grandparents, Bill and Mittie Stallings.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Alix McDonald of Ash Flat; his two sons, Conner and Cyler McDonald of Ash Flat; his mother, Karen O'Connor of Bono; his brother, Kyle McDonald of Monterey, Calif.; and his faithful dog, Jasper.

A visitation to celebrate Coalt's life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Coalt will be remembered for his kind heart, his passion for life, and the love he shared with his family, friends, and community. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
