JONESBORO - Dana Carole Hayes, 79, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Dana was a genuine person that had a pure heart and a beautiful smile. She made each and every person that came into her life, feel as if they were very loved and special. She cherished her family and her favorite times were with them, whether that meant cooking for them, following the grandkids in all of their activities or just being together.
She was a very active lady who loved working in her yard, hosting gatherings, calling to check on friends and family, and whatever her family might need her to do. She loved Christmastime and all the joy that it brought as you could tell by the special care she put into decorating her home.
She was a member of Valley View Church of Christ in Jonesboro and a frequent visitor of the 5th and Pine Church of Christ in Rector.
Dana was born in the Blue Cane area outside of Rector, where she grew up, to the late Weldin and Ruth Crews Wimberley. She was married in 1966 to the late Jewell Doyne Hayes. They were blessed to have 40 years together.
