WALNUT RIDGE - Doyle Elliott Kilman, 79, of Walnut Ridge died Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born Dec. 17, 1941, in Bald Knob, son of the late Ernest Kilman and Ova McLaughlin Kilman, he was united in marriage to Mary Joan Williams on Feb. 12, 1971.
He was a project supervisor for a geotechnical construction company.
Doyle enjoyed reading and working with his hands, he loved woodworking, fixing things and building model airplanes.
He was orderly, precise and loved the attention to detail. Doyle wanted his projects to be absolutely perfect.
In addition to both of his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lawrence Emde, a son, Marty Kilman, and two brothers, Wayne and Gene Kilman.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; four children, Kimberly du Plessis (Francois) and Darren Kilman (Kristin), all of Jonesboro, and Michele Eden (Darrell) and Monty Kilman (Monica), all of Bald Knob; four grandchildren, Keagan, Reagan, Kathleen and Etta; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today in Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beth Perdue and Tim Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jorge Macias, David Whitmire, Shaun Wheeless, Francois du Plessis, Gary McLaughlin and Scott Williams.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of the service.
