CARAWAY - Hunter Booth Miller, 64, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1959, in Caraway.
Hunter grew up on the farm and farmed all of his life. He was a 1978 graduate of Monette High School and was very active in the FFA. He loved hunting, playing pitch and spending time with his grandkids.
He had a huge heart for people, he would find ways to help without anyone finding out. He was larger-than-life and helped so many over the years in many ways. He attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Jerry D. and Edna Mae Booth Qualls.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Bowen Miller; sons, Clayton Miller (Maegan) and Dwight Whittenburg; brothers, Curtis Miller, Boyce Miller and Bailey Miller (Meredith); sisters, Jerri Lyn Sanders (Shannon), Sandra Pearce (Stephan), Charlotte Dukes and Carrie Miller Holmes; grandchildren, Avery Moore, Layken Miller, Emmett Miller, Ande Kate Miller and Hunter Whittenburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Monette First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Cornish and Garrett Qualls officiating. Interment will follow in Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from noon Thursday until time of service at the church.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Cody Rea, Josh Hawkins, Dan Dunkerson, Dane McCord, Kris Kelton, Cade Couch, Cody Weathers and Caleb Weathers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Monette class of 1978 and Caraway class of 1978, Randy Couch, Gordon Miller, Kenny Qualls, Vic Qualls, Bruce Fires, Gary Earnhart and Ben Davis.
In honor of Hunter, do a good deed and help someone in need and or donate to Buffalo Island Central FFA in honor of Hunter.
