JONESBORO - Norma "Jane" Border, 75, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024. Jane was born Dec. 19, 1948, in Jonesboro to the late James Paul and Elsie Robertson Bridges. She graduated in 1966 from Monette High School and stayed in touch with all of her classmates.
She was an active member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She worked in banking for over 30 years. She loved crafting, painting and hobbies and gave a lot of her things away with a servant's heart.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Clay, and three brothers, James Bridges, Samuel Bridges and Dwight Bridges.
Jane is survived by her husband, Marshall Border; sons, Shane Clay of South Fulton, Tenn., and Heath Border (Nicole) of Cave Springs; sister, LaGena Powell (Charles); brothers, Winfred Bridges (Adelle) and Darrell Bridges (Terri); sisters-in-law, Sherry Bridges and Linda Shatley; grandchildren, Logan Clay, Trinty Clay, Jared Clay and Brynne Border; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A celebration of her life will be at noon Monday at Walnut Street Baptist Church with the Revs. Darrell Bridges, Winfred Bridges and Keith Baker officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.
