JONESBORO - Joan Crocker Cremeens of Jonesboro passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born to Johnny and Gladys Lansford on Sept. 13, 1935, in Jonesboro. Joan's roots remained firmly planted in her hometown throughout her life, she was a devoted member of the Nettleton Church of Christ.
Joan had a particular fondness for shopping and window shopping brought her a special kind of joy. Later in life, she discovered happiness in attending "The Round Up."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Gladys Lansford, as well as her first husband, J.D. Crocker, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years. She was also preceded by her second husband, Bill Cremeens, her son, Terry Crocker, her son, Randy Crocker, and her daughter, Sandra Ross.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Karen) Crocker of Bono and her daughter, Linda (Terry) Baker of Jonesboro. Joan's legacy also lives on through several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation to honor Joan's memory was held Monday with the funeral service following. Brother Terry Joe Kee officiated. The burial took place in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, where Joan found eternal rest alongside her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either the Nettleton Church of Christ or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. These causes held special meaning to Joan and supporting them would be a meaningful way to honor her memory and continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.
