GRUBBS - Gladys" June" Allen, joined "The love of her life" in heaven on March 12, 2025, at the age of 85. June was born in Grubbs, September 26, 1939, to Robert Ross and Edna (Roussel) Williams. June graduated from Grubbs High School where she was a basketball player. She retired from banking after 30 years working at the Grubbs Branch. June was a member of Ballew's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. June married J.H. Allen on September 26, 1958. They were happily married for 65 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Henry Allen; her son, Ross Allen; her brothers, L.B. Williams, Robert Williams, Hugh Williams, Dean Williams, Joe Williams and Eugene Williams; her sisters, Willine Williams and Etta Belle Gibbs; and her great granddaughter, Allie June Pretty.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Allen of Grubbs, Mike Allen and wife Lisa of Grubbs; her brother, Billy Max Williams and wife Betty of Heber Springs; her grandchildren, Jadyn Pretty (Dustin), Sheena Gammon (Kyle), Rhianna Baughn (Jordan), Orrie Allen and Joshua Allen (Faith); her great-grandchildren, Daniel Pretty, Delaney Pretty, Madison Allen, Connor Gammon, Emeri Baughn, Easton Baughn, Everleigh Baughn, Nate Allen, Blaise Allen, Nathan Buchanan, Jensen Allen, and Rory Allen; and many special nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you to Amber Estes for her kindness and compassion shown by taking care of June.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Orrie Allen, Joshua Allen, Kyle Gammon, Jordan Baughn, Dustin Pretty, and Charles Hon Jr. Honorary pallbearer is David Williams.
Service will be at 10 a.m., today, Saturday, March 15, at Ballew's Chapel Church with Interment at Gracelawn Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
