BONO - Kathy Ann Ford passed away in her home in Bono, on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born in Walnut Ridge, on July 6, 1949, to parents Ella Faye and Jessie Cline.
Kathy and her husband, Dwayne Ford, were married for 58 years and raised two children together, Angie and Marc. Kathy attended Bono High School and then cosmetology school, where she graduated top of her class. She owned and operated Kathy's Beauty Shop in Bono for nearly 40 years. Kathy was a cherished member of her community. She was a church pianist, a fiercely devoted Nanna to her grandchildren, and a lover of animals. She "never met a stranger" and greeted everybody she encountered with friendliness and familiarity. She always welcomed a phone call and loved to watch scary movies and spend time with her family. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, Nanna, Kak, and friend to so many, and will be remembered as a person who radiated warmth and kindness.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Marc Ford; and two brothers, Cloyce Cline and Stanley Cline.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne of Bono; her daughter, Angie Ford Jones and husband Scotty Jones; her brother, PeeWee Cline and wife Paula; and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Ford, all of Jonesboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Madison Fowler and husband Barrett Niblock of Eugene, Ore.; Keegan Fowler and wife Sarah Bell Fowler, Ethan Ford, Darcy Ford, Zach Jones and husband Alex Morris, and Landon Jones, all of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Service will take place on Friday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m., also at Emerson Funeral Home. Robbie Cline will officiate. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.
Anthony Cline, Rodney Cline, TJ Cline, Scotty Jones, Keegan Fowler, Ethan Ford, Zach Jones, Landon Jones, and Barrett Niblock will serve as pallbearers.
