JONESBORO - Kathy Lyle Shaw Silsbee, 65, of Jonesboro died Saturday, June 3, 2023, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She had lived in Jonesboro for 11 years, moving here from Blytheville. She attended the Rock Church of Jonesboro.
She was born Oct. 7, 1957, in Indianapolis, to Frederick and Barbara Shaw. Kathy served her community as a supervisor in child-support services and as a personal caregiver. She loved cooking, working in her garden and crafting, but her self-proclaimed greatest accomplishment was caring for her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Diana Sines.
Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Brian Silsbee, of the home; son, Joseph Seibert and wife Gabriella of San Antonio; daughters, Amy Crawford and husband Joseph of Jonesboro, Kristal Warrick of Lees Summit, Mo., Emma Horan and husband Matthew of Charleston, S.C., and Julie Matthews and husband Kelly of Blytheville; stepson, Nathan Silsbee of Brookland; stepdaughter, Erika Silsbee of Jonesboro; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be 2 p.m. Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Watson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow the service in Nettleton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time.
