Kayli Hansen Obituary
JONESBORO - On the morning of Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, Miss Kayli Jade Hansen gained her angel wings.
Kayli was born in Jonesboro to Amber and Todd Hansen on March 11, 2001. She was 20 years old when she passed away in the arms of her mother.
Kayli's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Kayli knew and understood how precious life was and the importance of sharing it with those she loved. She taught us to live each day to its fullest, the meaning of forgiveness, the importance of acceptance and the power of prayer.
From the moment she was born, her inner joy seemed to shine bright. Everyone loved her instantaneously. Her laughter was contagious and her quick wit was a welcomed charm.
Anyone who knew Kayli, knew that she had bars like Nikki, moves like MJ and pipes like Adele.
She could pick up any ball to any sport and run the court or field. She had a smile that could melt the hearts of those around her, and everywhere that she went, her face would light up any room.
Kayli loved playing board games with her mother, brother and sister, singing, coffee and dancing to hip-hop music.
Kayli leaves behind her mother, Amber Hansen; her sister, Madison Scarborough; her precious niece, Amelia Kay "AK"; her brother, Cory Johnson; her grandparents, Joe and Gerri Farmer and Randall and Jeane Hansen; several cousins and countless friends.
Kayli was met with open arms in heaven by her father, Todd, her grandparents, Deana Summers and Paul Michael Snodgrass, and aunts, Emma Coots Parker, Brandi Snodgrass and Casey Snodgrass.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro with Casey Turner officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with pallbearers being Shane McBride, Zach Collins, Luke Hillis, Kevin Burnett, Dequanddre Mathis, Derek Daniels, Adam Farmer and Briar Hill.
The visitation will be held starting at 11 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church.
