JONESBORO - Linda Diane Touchstone, 68, departed from this earth Aug. 11, 2022. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Linda spent 38 years at Arkansas State University in food management. She loved her job until her sickness forced her to retire.
Linda had enjoyed gardening and cross-stitching but most of all, teaching her granddaughters to cook and taking them on adventures.
She sadly leaves behind her husband, Gerald of the home; daughter, Sheri (J.D. Walker Jr.); and three beautiful granddaughters, Alice, Rachel and Norah Walker, these three were her pride and joy and she was so proud of them; and several brothers and sisters, JD Cox (Pansy) of Paragould, Joyce Darling of Bay, Waymon Cox (Mary) of Goobertown, Danny Cox (Virginia) of Conway, Carolyn Sue Henry (John) of Jonesboro, Wickey Cox (Vickie) of Trumann and Larry Cox of Pocahontas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ishmael Cox, her mother, Elsie Cox, and a sister, Peggy Langston.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Monday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at noon Monday in Pine Log Cemetery with the Rev. Burl Young officiating.
