Loretta Allen Obituary

JONESBORO - Loretta "Hookie" Fay Allen, 83, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Dixie, to Harvey and Myrene Cordell Cooper.

Loretta spent 25 years employed at Frolic Footwear before retiring. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved to fish.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Kenny Cooper, Larry Cooper and Tommy Cooper; and a sister, Emma Danley.

Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Loretta include her loving husband of 64 years, Rhouis Arnold Allen; two sons, Keith (Robin) Allen and Eric (Jamie) Allen; grandchildren, Whitney (Chris) Wheeler, Jacy (Casey) Phillips and Rhouis Allen; great-grandchildren, Reid Wheeler, Drake Wheeler and Forest Phillips; brothers, Wayne Cooper and David Cooper; and sisters, Bruxie Myshka, Imogene Curtis, Sharon Hollis, Diane Allen, Deborah Cooper and Charlotte King.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today, May 2, in Browns Chapel Cemetery with Chad Wood officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
