JONESBORO - Mary Katherine Shawver Bradley, 94, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 4, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 26, 1930, in Lynn, to the late Arthur "Polly" Shawver and Lois Shawver.
On Aug. 3, 1957, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Rogers Bradley, and together they shared 67 wonderful years of enduring love, commitment, faith, and laughter.
Mary lived with a heart full of love for the Lord and those around her. She gave freely and selflessly, always with joy and warmth. A dear friend to all, her caring smile and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. As a proud Nana, she cherished every moment with her grandchildren. Her spirit, strong and enduring like her favorite magnolia tree, was rooted in love, blooming with kindness, and always offering comfort to all near her.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Bradley; daughter, Michelle Bradley Boeckmann (Franklin, Tenn.); son, Brent Bradley and daughter-in-law, Heather Bradley (Little Rock); grandson, Cooper Bradley (Fort Collins, Colo.); granddaughter, Courtney Boeckmann Huckabee, grandson-in-law, Matthew, and great-grandson, William Huckabee (Texarkana, Texas); and sister, Dude Morgan (Fla).
She was predeceased by her parents and nine beloved siblings.
Mary's legacy is one of love, faith, and joy. Her kindness and strength will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Bill Barber will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Cooper Bradley, Ben Bush, Lowell Faught, Wendell Jones, and Joe Rogers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gregg-Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Mary's compassionate care.
