Michael Basinger Obituary
BAY - Michael Wayne "Mike" Basinger, 53, of Bay passed from this life Thursday, July 21, 2022, at his home. He was born Jan. 3, 1969, in Searcy, a son of the late Billy and Omie Ward Basinger.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a huge NASCAR fan. Mark Martin was his idol. He was an active member of the Crowley's Ridge Cruisers Car Club in Jonesboro and was passionate about his 1980 Trans-Am.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Basinger; son, Joshua Basinger; daughter, Savannah Basinger; sister, Sharon Elsberry (Scott); two grandchildren, Ellis Bramlette Basinger and Sailor Fowler; aunt and uncle, Don and Sharon Basinger; mother- and father-in-law, Jim and Diane Dedman; niece and nephew, Ashley Elsberry and Dillon Atchley; his special little man, Eli Lafferty; his dog, Bandit; many other relatives and numerous friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Basinger, and his close friend, Earl Baker.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening, July 26. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
