Michael Pankey Obituary
JONESBORO - Michael D. Pankey, 78, passed on from this life on Tuesday April 1, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 14, 1946, to the late Ralph O. and Loretta Pankey.
Mr. Pankey worked at TEC Electric for fifty years. He was drill sergeant in the United States Marines, and a jokester that had a nickname for everyone he knew. He was a very giving and loving person who would give the shirt off of his back. He attended Emmanuel Cowboy Church in Brookland.
He is survived by his caregiver Patricia (Dusten) Lee of Brookland; his brother Steve (Debbie) Pankey of Allen Texas; three cousins Karen Hollingsworth of Covington, Tenn., Lisa Riley of Memphis, and Wesley Elliot of Wash.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 11, at 2 p.m. in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Preacher Michael Partain officiating. Services will be under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
