JONESBORO - Millard Joe Cooper, 84, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born on April 5, 1941, in Brookland, to Hervey Lucian and Bronnie Juanita (Prestidge) Cooper. Millard attended Arkansas State University and worked as a data processor and quality control superintendent until retirement. He was a member of the Forest Home Nazarene Church. He enjoyed hunting, vintage cars, and reading and watching westerns. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to remember Millard are his loving wife of 65 years, Reba Cooper; son Stephen (Susie) Cooper; daughters, Louann (Steve) Hobson, Candy (Brian) Smith, and Susanna (Kevin) Townsend; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Casi, Zachary, BJ, Brayden, Cooper, and Wesley; five great-grandchildren; brother Terry Cooper; his church family, especially his Friendship Sunday School class; and many other friends and loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave. in Jonesboro.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a memorial contribution in Millard's name to Forest Home Church of Nazarene Building Fund, 2403 Ritter Drive in Jonesboro.
