MANILA - Phillip Wayne Lindsey, 54, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at his home. Born and raised in Manila, he attended Manila Public Schools and was a lifelong area resident.
He worked several years for Southworth Inc. as a welder, and most recently, in the maintenance department. Phillip loved all things hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Joyce Keller Lindsey, and a brother, Marshall Dewayne Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Tabitha Lindsey of the home; a son, Kevin Wilbanks of Salem, Ore.; his father, Jerry Lindsey of Paragould; two brothers, Charles Ray Lindsey of Louisiana and Michael Dewayne Lindsey of Monette; and a sister, Barbara Renee Morley of Lake City. Phillip also leaves three grandchildren and a slew of loving family members and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Pastor Philip Tidwell and Brother Audie Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers will be BJ Wilbanks, Blake Brumley, Gage Tidwell, Chris Oakes, Jeremy Oakes and John Wilbanks.
Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Rick Ramerez.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 this evening, Aug. 9, at the funeral home.
