Richard Christy Obituary
JONESBORO - Richard Allen "Pops" Christy, 75, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born Sept. 23, 1947, to the late Albert and Maureen Christy.
Born in California, Richard had lived in Jonesboro for the past 15 years. He worked on riverboats for 25 years and was also a very talented upholsterer. Richard served our great country in the Army during the Vietnam war.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Christy.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Christy Pierce (Jason) of Jonesboro; sister, Ann McMahan of Las Vegas; granddaughter, Lisa Hall of Walnut Ridge; grandson, Shane Basham of Walnut Ridge; and great-grandchildren, Braydon, Rylee, Maci and Ethan.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Emerson Funeral Home. A memorial service with military honors will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Bryce King officiating.
