JONESBORO - Sidney "Sid" O'Neal Crawford Sr., 76, passed from this life Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at his home.
He was born Nov. 2, 1945, in Harrisburg to the late William and Rosalee Crawford.
He was a deacon and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church with his wife, Pat.
Sid retired from General Electric and from St. Bernards Senior Life Center as a Meals on Wheels driver.
In addition to his parents, Sid was preceded in death by his brothers, W.I. Crawford Jr., Evan Crawford, Gerald Crawford, R.L. "Slick" Crawford and Rodney Crawford; and sisters, Josephine Edwards, Francis Emmons and Essie Arnold.
Sid is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pat Crawford of the home; children, Ginger Espenschied of Springdale, Neal Crawford Jr. (Krisha) of Fayetteville and Patti Neal (Skip) of Houma, La.; brother, Donnie Crawford (Carolynn) of Harrisburg; sister, Nona Bonham of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Russ Neal (Desirae), Morgan Duplantis (Trevor), Courtney Neal, Alizabeth Longshore (Chase), Camryn Espenschied, Rylee Crawford, Juliauna Crawford and Jase Crawford; and great-grandchildren, Ava Rae Smith and Greyson Duplantis.
Sid also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home with Curtis Shatley and Grey Falanga officiating. The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being Russ Neal, Trevor Duplantis, Chase Longshore, David Wallace, Ryan Long and Buddy Hosman.
The honorary pallbearer will be Jase Crawford.
