JONESBORO - Wayne Clifton Stoner Jr., 67, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully at his home on March 12, 2025. Born on November 23, 1957, to Wayne and Peggy Stoner in Jonesboro.
Wayne was a Christian and a proud veteran, having served in the Army National Guard, where he demonstrated his commitment to his country and community. Wayne was also a passionate supporter of the Arkansas State University Red Wolves, cheering on every ASU team with unwavering enthusiasm. Whether it was football, basketball, or any sport in between, if it had to do with ASU, Wayne was all in. Wayne had a natural talent for fixing just about anything and took great pride in remodeling and working with his hands. He had an appreciation for classic rock and loved attending concerts whenever he had the chance. His warm and easygoing personality allowed him to make friends wherever he went, and those who knew him will remember him as a man who brought joy to every room he entered. Above all else, Wayne treasured the time he spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Stoner Sr.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Lindsey Stoner; his mother, Peggy Stoner; his sister, Sherry Petz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 17, at Emerson Funeral Home, beginning at 2 p.m., with a visitation prior from 1 p.m. until the start of the service.

So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I got more aquatinted with Wayne when he worked for a radio station. He was able to sit and talk to anyone from the president to a hobo. A very likable guy, I know you will miss him. Will remember you in my prayers
