Wilma Mooney Obituary
OSPREY, Fla. - Wilma Jean Sossamon Mooney, 89, beloved wife of the Rev. Von Dell Mooney for 72 wonderful years, and proud mother of Pamela Henley, Diane Thompson, Jeanie Keim (Steve), Randy Mooney (Donna Mae) and Howard Mooney (Julie) died Dec. 2, 2022. She had 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Wilma was an active minister's wife participating in churches throughout Arkansas and Missouri where she developed lifelong friendships along the way. She served as president of United Methodist Women in the North Arkansas Conference as well as other leadership positions.
She will be dearly missed by her family members as their matriarch lovingly cooking all their favorite delicious foods, gardening on their beloved Gingerbread Lane in Conway, and devotedly loving all her family.
Graveside services were Dec. 6 in Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, Fla. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, her 90th birthday, at Plumerville United Methodist Church.
