Deborah Bahr

Debbie Bahr passed away on February 26, 2022, surrounded by family in Greeley, Colorado. She was born February 28th, 1951, to Edwin and Rosemary Bahr in Great Bend, Kansas. The eldest of seven children, Debbie was a kind loving mother figure to the entire clan. As her brother Joe put it, she would "mother anything that moved". Debbie worked for many years producing and selling jewelry with her business partner and friend John. She inherited her father's sales instincts and loved building a rapport with customers. In recent years she enjoyed being a student at NJC where she excelled in her studies and was much loved by her instructors and classmates. Wherever she went she was sure to make new friends and become yet dearer to old ones. Debbie was perhaps best described as "a hoot", her offbeat humor and limitless warmth made her truly wonderful to know. Debbie has been the reigning titleholder of "Favorite Aunt" for over four decades, overwhelmingly elected by a wide voter pool comprised of her numerous nieces and nephews. It was not for lack of competition; however, Debbie's big fun personality and deeply committed care made her a perennial fan favorite. She provided selfless care and devotion to so many. She spent countless hours nursing and comforting her mother Rosemary and sister Linda. It's impossible to quantify how helpful and devoted she was to her loved ones; she spent her entire life in a state of love, service, and joy. The world is darker for her absence but brightened by the memories and legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed. Debbie is preceded in death by her father Edwin J. Bahr Sr. and sisters Donna Bahr & Linda Lundquist. She is survived by her mother Rosemary, brothers David (Kaye) and Edwin Joseph (Darlene) Bahr, and her sisters Diana Vatole and Lesa Paulison (Lovelin Makua). Memorial services will be held on March 26,2022, at Tennant Funeral Home at 10:30 am, with a burial of ashes to follow at the Riverside Cemetery.
