Ruth Weisdorfer Obituary

Ruth J. Weisdorfer, 94 of Sterling, CO went to her Heavenly home on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Greeley, CO at NCMC with her family by her side. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, July 27, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, at Sterling Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. The service will conclude at the church. Ruth was born July 21, 1928, in Great Bend, Kansas to Louis Bennett and Hilda (Dirks) Bennett. Ruth attended school until the 11th grade and was a housewife and a mother. Ruth married Stanley E. Weisdorfer on October 11, 2002, in Sterling, CO. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sterling Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed dancing, having coffee at the donut shop with the ladies, and "dumpster diving". Ruth loved being around little children, whether they were hers or someone else's and she never saw the bad in anyone. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Hilda Bennett; sisters, Ruby Tait and Clara Kamper and her brother Bud Bennett. Ruth is survived by her husband Stanley; children Sharon Smith of San Marcos, CA, Jeanie Tillery of San Marcos, CA, Joanie Neeley of Citrus Heights, CA, Mary Lou Andrews of Vancouver, BC and Ellen Liville of Hemet, CA; stepchildren Staci Andersen of Meade, CO, Amy Ratliff of Meade, CO, and Cameron Weisdorfer of Eaton, CO; 12 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Memorials contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doyleston, PA 18901.
