Alan Daigneault Obituary

Alan D. Daigneault
Alan D. Daigneault, 84, of Enfield, CT passed away on April 22, 2024, at Hartford Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1939, in New Bedford, MA to Maurice and Marjorie (Lenling) Daigneault. Alan grew up in New Bedford until 1955 and then graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1957. He met and married Virginia "Rennie" Meyer on November 5, 1966. They shared almost 58 years of marriage with his loving and devoted wife. Alan and Rennie lived in Enfield for 55 years where they raised their family and while he worked at the Bakery.
He was a great friend and family man who took great pride in hosting the most memorable summer holiday parties and Christmas Eve parties. Alan enjoyed watching his grandchildren play, as long as it was on the hill as his lawn was immaculate. As people would go home, Alan made sure to send everyone home with a big hug and of course some of his famous cheesecake. He had a great knowledge and love for basketball, specifically the Celtics and Uconn Basketball teams. Most of all, he always took great interest in the lives of his children and family and inspired them to do better and be better. Alan instilled in all of them what was important in life and that was family.
Left with memories of Alan are his loving wife, Virginia (Meyer) Daigneault; daughters, Karen Daigneault and her fiance' Michael Sevarino of Windsor Locks, Cindy Blier and her husband Brian of Windsor Locks, brothers; Brian Daigneault and his wife Roseanne of West Hartford, Dennis Daigneault and his wife Donna of Florida, sister; Marti Donovan of East Hartford, grandchildren; Stephanie, Joshua, Michael, Jessica, Ryan, Samantha, Melissa, Krystal, Madison, great-grandchildren, Emma, Mackenzie, Jace, Garrett, Carson, and another due in July. Alan was predeceased by his son David Daigneault and a brother, Richard Daigneault.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT.
