Alice Moore Obituary

Alice J. (Grant) Moore, 58, of Enfield, beloved wife of 36 years to Wayne T. Moore, passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 26, 2007.

She was born on January 28, 1949, in Hartford, a daughter of Louise (Duke) Grant Christensen and the late Theodore Grant. She had resided in Enfield for the past 38 years. Alice was a graduate of Enfield High School and was formerly employed with Hamilton/Sundstrand in Windsor Locks for 20 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed country line dancing, ceramics, crafts, nails, and spending time with family and friends. Alice was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Enfield.

Besides her devoted husband, Wayne, Alice is survived by her loving children, a daughter, Kimberly Pezanetti and her husband, John, of East Hartford; a son, Wayne Moore and his fiancée, Christine Hunt, of Enfield; two grandchildren, Kathleen and Anthony Moore, her mother, Louise, and devoted stepfather, Bill Christensen of Enfield; two sisters, Carol Grant of Stafford and Sandy Quirk and her husband, Bill, of Eastford. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Bruce Moore; a brother-in-law, Ralph Moore and his wife, Gloria; a sister-in-law, Sheila Boivin; a brother-in-law, Thomas Moore and his wife, Jane; a sister-in-law, Marie McNulty and husband, John; three stepsisters, Debbie Bechard, Linda Merrill, and Marianne Christensen; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Alice also leaves her dear friends, Mary Howland and Marie Michaud. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Richard Boivin.

A funeral procession will form on Monday December 31, 2007, at 9 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, to Holy Trinity Church, 383 Hazard Ave., Enfield, for a Funeral Service in celebration of Alice's life at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.

Alice's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the MS Society of Greater Hartford, 705 Mountain Rd., Ste. G-102, Newington, CT 06111.

The Carlson home was Alice's second home..way back when..we had lots of good times there. The entire Carlson family loved her very much.
Her best friend back then and many years to follow, Elaine Carlson Owens will miss her dearly, as will
the rest of us....She definately lit
up a room when she entered it...
