Brian Donovan Obituary

Brian Donovan of Manchester, formerly of Glastonbury, passed away on Aug. 25, 2021, at the age of 59.

Family and friends describe Brian as a thoughtful and generous man. He was always thinking about what he could do for someone or what small gift might bring them a smile. Brian loved his public library and visited it often. He knew the staff by name and, when asked how he was doing, always answered, "Peachy!" Brian liked cats and befriended all of those in his neighborhood. His favorite was a stray he called "Itchy" and he helped to find her a permanent home. He also enjoyed movies and music. He was an avid sports fan and faithfully rooted for the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brian was the son of the late Kevin and Audrey Donovan. He will be remembered by his brother Kevin Donovan and wife, Queta of Newtown; sister Jemison Donovan and husband, Emilio Martin-Pintado (predeceased) of Toledo, Spain; sister Kathleen Donovan and husband, Richard Stephen of Natick, Massachusetts; nephew Kevin Donovan, wife Jenna and their four children; niece Sofia de la Trinidad Ham; and nephew Daniel Martin-Pintado.

Brian chose to live a quiet, private life, but he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

A private service was held by the family.

Donations in Brian's memory may be made to the Mary Cheney Library, 586 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040.
