Brooke Smith Obituary
1985 - 2024
We are heartbroken to announce that our daughter, Brooke, passed away on July 24, 2024.
Brooke was born on April 22, 1985, and raised in Manchester. Growing up, she was a talented athlete, who participated in many local soccer teams and the CT Premier Soccer League. Brooke attended local schools and graduated from M.H.S. in 2003. She received a BS degree from UCONN and MS degree from Bridgewater State University.
Brooke enjoyed working with young people, helping them with their social issues. It filled her with joy to see their progress and find happiness. She looked forward to continuing her career helping others.
Brooke leaves behind her mother, Catherine (Kit) Smith, her father, Rick Smith, LaMar Langley, her precious cat, Sparky, and her cousin, Alyssa Russo. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Winston and Marion Smith, Marjorie Drobiak, and her beloved uncle, Randall Smith.

Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, in Manchester, on Tuesday, July 30th, from 6-8 p.m. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, July 31st, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at East Cemetery. My first memory of Brooke was 7th grade at BMS. I see I´ll always remember her as being kind, energetic, full of life and zest and of course love for soccer. My sincere prayers and condolences.

Paul called with the sad news. I met Brooke only a few times and didn´t know her well, but I saw from the obituary that she was a social worker and spent her life helping others. You must have been very proud of her for that. She will be missed. You have our deepest sympathy.
