Bruce Beaupre Obituary

Bruce L. Beaupre, 45, of New Rd., Tolland, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2007.

Knowing that his wife, Sue, was ok, his daughter taken care of and his family happy and well, Bruce Leo Beaupre was able to finally do what he had always wanted to do, to be able to watch and be with every one of his friends and family all at once. He left after a beautiful ride with his wife, his absolute soul mate, with a stomach full of mushroom caps from Bidwell Tavern ready to continue one of his other favorites in life, to play his brand new DW drum set that night. Bruce's' love for music carries on through many including his daughter, Stacy, who will always associate music, drumming, and a love for life with her dad, her biggest fan. Supporting Bruce in everything from his drumming at age 5, to his many cross country meets (He won the State's you know?!), to the purchase of his "toy" his Harley, parents Richard and Arline (Hurchala) Beaupre were there for him at every moment. He was a great son who always had something witty to entertain them with until his last day.

His sisters and brothers-in-law, Terry and Mark Whalen and Michele and Robert Miller will always remember "Bruck" for his laid back, simply amazing personality and his love for his nieces and nephews: Jessica, Joshua, Trevor, Courtney, Erin and Stephanie. (He was "not tough" to them). Also getting major bonuses for marrying his soul mate, Sue, Bruce acquired phenomenal in-laws, Gabe and Carole Szabo, as well as a brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Karen Szabo; as well as more nephews to have fun with, Joey and Justin. Bruce lived for his family and friends, which were so many, it has been said that even in Arizona Bruce could find someone he knew. He wants them to know that he treasured and will continue to treasure and share their company and laughter. Bruce always said to live each day as if it was your last and he absolutely did. He died on a beautiful day completely in his element knowing that he lived an awesome life.

With friends and family clad in Harley Davidson wear, a funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Tolland.

Calling hours are on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bruce's name may be made to the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, c/o Rose Roszczewski, P.O. Box 25, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.

We watched the balloons until they were out of site. 2 Black and 6 Orange, for the day you were born. Once the balloons were out of site, I knew that they had reached you. Now, I could focus on celebrating you, not mourning you. Always in my heart . .

September 5, 2008

This was our tribute to you. We started out our day sending you balloons!! I really had a hard time letting them go, it was like admitting that you were gone. We miss you!!

My dearest brother Bruck~
The days just don't seem to get easier. A motorcyle, a drummer, a coffee mug, my kitchen light that STILL doesn't work in the summer, are constant reminders of missing you more as each day passes. Please welcome Auntie Marlene into your world of eternity, hug each other, and toast a glass of wine. You are in my thoughts daily, loving you and missing you always.

Bruce, I honor you today, this date in the past and each April 26 to come. For not for this day, there would not have been a you and therefore, not have been a Stacy. Every breath she takes is not only hers but yours as well, as she is a part of you. I know she is and will continue to make you proud. Please continue to watch over her and remind her of your presence. You are a staple to her existence. She told me today that she misses you deeply but her choice today is to celebrate your life today because that is what you would want. Happy Birthday-Robin

Hello Bruck, I cannot believe that 2 months have gone by. I miss you so much. Rob bought Courtney and Erin a drum set. You are probably jamming as they play. Everytime they play, it brings a smile too my face. Love, Chuck

THE DRUMSET! The mecca of drumsets may I add. One thing I truly have to remember my dad you ask? I've lost 5% of my hearing due to his drumming and me drumming.

To all of Uncle Bruce's loved ones-My sincere condolences go out to you. This loss has saddened me deeply and I will never forget Uncle Bruce's positive attitude and driven, youthful personality. Know that Bruce was so alive everyday of his life and was blessed to have such a wonderful, fun, loving family. It was an honor to know him. He will be missed...

Jeffrey Morhardt

September 7, 2007

We want to share one of our favorite memories of Bruce. It was during a Little League All Star game. He and Stevie were on the team and when it came time to announce the players it became evident that no one had given them the correct pronunciations. So, Stafford acquired two new players -Steve Hi-ah-kowa and Brucie Bur-pee. To this day we often laugh and refer to Bruce as Bur-pee!
We were planning to attend the wake but Mom died last night so we will be unable to be there. Please accept our thoughts and prayers. Michelle, I hope to see you before you go home but if not, please give your mom your email so I can get in touch with you.

My thoughts and condolances go out to the family and friends who knew Bruce well. After seeing Bruce at the Rockville fireworks this past July 4th, it became abundantly clear to me that he had indeed become a fine example of how to live one's life. His warmth and goodwill was overwelling as he spoke with pride of his kids and other topics. His live and let live, hold no grudges manner was humbling. The obituary printed in The Courant was well crafted and clearly right on the mark. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but I am so happy to have made his acquaintance, even if it took 30 years to do it right.

I met Bruce about 4 years ago.
Bruce has been a great help to me by taking care of all of my electrical work in my old house. I bought a house that was built in 1880 , it was on a 60 amp service and no heat upstairs. Bruce did the job for me and then some, boy was it an electrical mess. He had to crawl in places I would never think of. He was a great person and truly will be missed he recently just worked in a new bathroom I added and was waiting to finish. I am so thankful for Darlene Naglak introducing me to him and being able to meet such a lovely person. He talked about playing in his band and his house he built in Tolland. May god bless his family at this time.

Michele, Rob, and Family
Words cannot express my sympathy at the loss of Uncle Your Not Tough. I know how much he ment and means to you and your family. I think I only met Bruce once when Court was a baby, but after listening to all the stories Michele told of her growing up "the baby" in Connecticut with Auntie Ter and Uncle Bruce, Grammy Woo and Poppa, I felt like I knew Bruce. I hope you find peace in knowing that Bruse will always be with you and your family and that with memories, he will live a long time
Love you all

We are Michele and Robert Miller's neighbors. Our heart's hurt when we learned what happened. Both Brian and I can't imagine what you all are feeling right now. We want you to know that we are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
