Claire Mitchell

Claire (Baribeault) Mitchell, 89, of Enfield, entered into eternal life, Thursday July 13, 2006, at Hartford Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1917,

in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Alfred and Irene (Demers) Baribeault. Claire was predeceased by her beloved husband

of 49 years Clarence J. Mitchell. She moved with Clarence to Melbourne, Fla. in 1978 and resided there until 1998 when she returned to Enfield. Her hobbies included knitting and needlework. A loving mother, nana and great nana, Claire's family was the center of her life.

Claire is survived by her children; Mary Grabski of Somers, Carol Berthold and husband Bill of Enfield, Thomas Mitchell and wife Wendy of Windsor, John Mitchell of Haven, Kansas and Barbara Harwood and husband Charles of Wallingford. She is also survived by her 15 beloved grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Claire will be held Tuesday July 18, 2006, at 9 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. Burial will be in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery.

Claire's family will receive family and friends Monday July 17, 2006, form 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Palliative Care, c/o Dr. Diamen, Hartford Hospital Dept. of Medicine, 80 Seymour St., Hartford, CT 06102.
