I worked with Dana at Stafford HS, as a Special Education teacher bringing in students from my class. He was always a joy to work with, adjusting instruction appropriately to make the experience meaningful to my students, and using humor to make them feel comfortable in class. He also brightened my time at the school as a newcomer, by his attitude and compassion. Thank you, Dana, for caring about all students and demonstrating that art was not just for a few!
My sympathies go out to the Bachiochi family.

Dana lead us on a fabulous trip through Alaska
where we saw bears and ate salmon! We'll always remember the wonderful time he gave us.
We travelled with Mark and Marilyn while Dave and Steve went fishing with Rae. So many great memories- so much to be thankful for and so much to miss! Please accept our sincere condolences, Kathy, Rae, Matthew, Kelly and Mark. From Cathy White and Dave Nelson

Dana was one of my mother's first art students back in 1960 or so when she was teaching in her kitchen. He was such a nice person, and such a talented artist.

I am so sorry to hear of Dana's passing. I was one of hundreds of people for whom he created a life-time experience in Alaska - two weeks of camping and B&Bs into the heart of Alaska about 15 years ago. I remember him as a gentle gracious and kind leader who loved sharing his joy in the wonderous wilderness of Alaska. My condolences to all of you who knew and loved him.
