Daniel Lefebvre Obituary

Daniel "Danny" L. Lefebvre, 27, of Windsor Locks was called to heaven to become an angel on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009.

Danny was born on May 27, 1982, in Hartford, the loving son of Domingo Colon and Laura Lefebvre of Windsor Locks. Danny grew up in Ashford and Enfield, and attended Enfield High School. He was employed in the maintenance department at the Suffield House where he was loved by all who lived and worked there. Danny had a zest for life and lived life to the fullest, never wanting to sit still. He had a huge heart and would do anything for his loved ones. Danny loved the outdoors especially hiking up mountains or to waterfalls, camping, fishing, watching the sunset, and going to the beach. He enjoyed playing poker, playing pool, snowboarding, basketball, and loved going on the many weekend getaways. Danny will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by his soul mate, Melanie Beebe, and their 5-month-old son, Zaidyn Lefebvre; three brothers, Allen, Gary, and Cody, all of Windsor Locks. Danny is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Leo Lefebvre of Bloomfield; two nephews, Devin and Wyatt; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Danny was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mary Lefebvre, his paternal grandparents, Cruz Colon and Modesta Cartegena.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.

A funeral service in celebration of Danny's life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Hazardville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Daniel Lefebvre Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of America, 1045 Kennedy Road, Windsor, CT 06096 to aid with the raising of his son, Zaidyn.

I met Danny back in 05. The first time we met, we became friends immediately. He was an easy person to get along with, everyone knew Danny. He constantly had a smile on his face, even if he wasn't having the greatest day, he always looked on the brighter side of things. Overall, he was a great person. He's Mel and Zaidyn's Angel now, and I am positive he will constantly be looking over them. My condolences go out to his loved ones. Danny will never be forgotten.

danny you are going to be missed more then words could ever describe , even though we havent spoken in awhile doesnt mean the hurt is still not there , all my thoughts and prayers go to mel and his family and a part of you still lives on in zay.

Do not weep for me,
for I am not dead;
I am merely sleeping,
and out of sight instead...

Do not weep for me,
shed no tears on my behalf;
for I am very happy now,
can't you just hear me laugh...

Do not weep for me,
think of sunshine...not of rain;
for where I am now, is a beautiful place,
a place that knows no sorrow, nor pain...

Do not weep for me,
for my spirit is alive and well;
I am walking down the streets of gold,
and i'm smiling... can't you tell...

Do not weep for me,
think of happy times... not sad;
and don't be concerned, that I am alone,
for I am with Mom and with Dad...

Do not weep for me,
somehow, I will be there;
you may not be able to see me,
but, you'll feel my presence everywhere...

Do not weep for me,
think of us walking on the beach;
don't cry when you think about me,
for I am simply out of reach...

Do not weep for me,
please don't think that death has won;
just remember, that when it's raining on you,
I'll be walking in the Sun.................

Danny was always like family to us and a best friend to Eric. Through the good times and the difficult Danny always had smile and a joke. He's left this world too early but will be forever in our hearts. May God bless you and give you comfort.

I still cannont believe this has happened. Words cannot express what to say to any one in the families. Know that you have a ton of people here for each and everyone of you. Many prayers are being said for you daily and know that help is here...just ask.

Mel/Zaidyn... I am sincerely sorry for your loss. To Danny's parents words can't express my feelings of condolence, take faith and know that your son is in a better place. To all he was a good young man working toward being a better man, god wanted him next to him probably watching over his loved ones.
