One more road trip my old friend. Hundreds of shows over thousands of miles... a small but cherished gang we were back in the day.

Dan was a great guy. We played softball together in East Windsor for almost twenty years: just what you wanted in a teammate, competitive, but always good-natured and fun. Always quick with a laugh and good to have around. He loved attending concerts as much as playing sports. I remember back when his boys were very young, one of them knew all the words to "Tangled Up In Blue", when it seemed he should've been singing the alphabet, and how proud that made Dan. When it was a new thing, Dan burned some CD's for me of great Grateful Dead shows, and those CD's remain treasures for me. He will be missed. A tragic loss. I'm very sorry.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan at the Enfield Post Office for several years before I moved to Florida in 1995. He was a hard working guy with a great personality and sense of humor. Dan was well liked and respected by his peers. We were both Yankee & NY Giants fans and we talked sports nearly everyday. I am deeply sorry for your loss. May God Bless all of Dan's family and friends in this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Rob Tooter Vella

Tina,Alex,and Andy:
There are no words to express, how truly sorry I am to hear of this tragedy.
As Dan's Hairdresser for 37 years, he was a client, a friend, and like a brother to me. His smile, always a welcomed one ,every 5 weeks.
I looked forward to those appointments with him,and he liked me to book them 1 year in advance...So every January, Id get out the calender, count 5 weeks ,and give him 12 months of appointments!
A dedicated Father , he truly was. He loved to brag about his boys. He was so proud of you guys.
And to you Tina, he adored you. I was so happy that he found you, and was able to make cherished memories with you.
My heart like yours, may be broken...but with time, I can only hope and pray, hearts will mend, and memories of this amazing man, can live on.
God has reasons,we can't even begin to understand. But I truly believe he will provide peace and comfort,as well. Call on him for strength...and believe that God, needed him more.An angel, taken so tragically, but an angel taken home, to the HEAVENS.
Had I known, 2 weeks ago when I cut his hair, it would be our last, I would've hugged him tight, and said,"Goodbye my friend. Until we meet again."
I am so honored, to have had him in my life. RIP Dan...Im going to miss seeing you, and spending that half hour, every 5 weeks. Luv you! Go Yankees!!!
