Dennis Berry Obituary

Dennis Berry Jr.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Berry Jr. on October 2, 2024, at the age of 62. Born and raised in Enfield, CT, Dennis was a cherished member of the community and a devoted family man.
Dennis was the beloved son of Mrs. Monica Berry and the late Dennis Berry Sr., who shaped his strong morals and values. He is survived by his siblings: Denise Berry of Enfield, Dean (Eileen) Berry of Enfield, Doreen (Sean) McNulty of Enfield, Danny Berry of Enfield, Dawn (Raoul) Harvey of Manchester, each of whom held a special place in his heart. After a long and fulfilling career, Dennis retired from the Osborn Correctional Facility, where he earned the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Suran Berry, with whom he shared 31 years of steadfast partnership and friendship. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Kristian McCreary and Cecilia Scott of Springfield, MA. Dennis embraced fatherhood wholeheartedly, teaching his children the importance of faith and introducing them to God, instilling in them the values that shaped his life. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Charee Scott, Karter McCreary, and Jaxon McCreary.
A true handyman at heart, Dennis found joy in helping others with their projects both in the Enfield, CT and Springfield, MA areas. His willingness to lend a hand, coupled with his straightforward nature, made him a treasured friend to many. He was also an avid golfer who loved spending time on the course and enjoying the outdoors. He had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and light into every room he entered, creating lasting memories with his fun-loving soul. Dennis had little patience for nonsense and valued sincerity above all else.
Dennis Berry Jr. will be remembered not only for his strength of character, but also for the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. He was a great friend, a loving husband, a devoted father, and a son, who will be deeply missed by his family.
Services to celebrate Dennis' life will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 10-11 AM at Grace & Glory Church, 1600 King St., Enfield, with a service at 11 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man who touched countless lives with his warmth and spirit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace & Glory Church, 1600 King St., Enfield, CT 06082.
Dennis will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
