Dolores Stella (Walor) Lachendro, 89, of Ware, MA passed away peacefully at Quaboag Rehabilitation Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield, MA on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born on September 5, 1934 in Salem, MA to Joseph and Josephine (Luczko) Walor. She graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1952. Dolores then met the love of her life, Conrad Lachendro and they married on April 28, 1957, sharing just shy of 67 years of marriage. They lived in Peabody, MA until they moved to Enfield, CT for Conrad to begin his career and start their family.
She worked at Scan-Optics in East Hartford as a receptionist as well as was a homemaker taking care of her family who meant more to her than anything. Her family remembers her love of cooking Polish food such as Galumpkis, Pierogies and baking her Chinese Chews. In her free time, she loved to read, do word puzzles and word games. Dolores and Conrad were faithful communicants of St. Bernard's Church in Enfield, CT until they moved to Ware, MA in recent years.
Left to mourn Dolores, beside her loving husband, Conrad are her two sons, Christopher Lachendro along with his wife Karen of Ware, MA and Kevin Lachendro along with his wife Cheryl of Georgetown, MA; grandchildren, Adam Lachendro along with his wife Sharon, Erik Lachendro, Caroline LoGiudice along with her husband Jason, and Kyle Lachendro; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Mackenzie Lachendro, sister; Louise Madore. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Walor.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April, 16, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, 426 Hazard Avenue, Enfield, CT (meet directly at church), followed by a burial at St. Bernard's Cemetery, 59 Park Street, Enfield, CT.
