Edith Anderson Obituary

Edith M. Anderson, 92, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of both Vernon and Manchester, passed on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on Aug. 24, 1930, the daughter of Stephen and Elsie (Streker) Mociulewski. She worked in the Trust Dept. of The Chase National Bank in New York City. Her marriage to Carl W. Anderson brought her to Manchester, first on Devon Drive and then the family home at 66 Summer St. She began a highly successful career as Executive Secretary and office manager at The Futures Group in Glastonbury, where she worked for 25 years. She loved her retirement years, which she filled with VernonReads, travel and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Laura Anderson of Vernon, and her son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Anderson of Ocala; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson and her fiancé, Dylan Shirley of Somerset, Massachusetts. She leaves a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margaret and George Kania of Marlbourgh; a sister-in-law Carol Mociulewski of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her close friends, Pat Newton and Gloria Johnson, as well as John and Marcia Horan, all of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carl; and her grandson Marshall Anderson; as well as her brother Robert Mociulewski.
