Elsie Krauss Obituary

Elsie M. (Perkins) Krauss, 85, of Enfield, loving wife of Howard W. Krauss, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

Elsie was born in Warehouse Point and lived in the Enfield area all of her life. Elsie is also survived by her daughters, Donna Williamson of Missoula, Mont., and Karlene Lepine, and her husband, Carl, of Central Square, N.Y.; a brother, Frank Perkins of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; her granddaughters, Dina Hoffman and Kelly Wilsonoff; four great-grandchildren, Devin, Richard, Trenton, and Steeton; and many nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by a brother, James Perkins, and four sisters, Edna Johnson, Eileen Beck, Dorothy Bellinger, and Myra Balbi.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26, at noon at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Windsor Locks.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Enfield Senior Center, 299 Elm St., Enfield, CT 06082.
