Emile G. Cyr, 79, of Manchester, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 1, 2024. Son of the late Henry and Lena (Ouellette) Cyr, Emile was born on September 9, 1945, in St. Agatha, Maine.
Emile enjoyed fixing small engines/repairing engines and being a part of Teamster Local #671. He started his career as a custodian at St. Rose Church and then with East Hartford Public Schools. He was always willing help family, friends and neighbors at a moments notice or at the drop of a hat.
Emile is survived by his children, Teresa DiGregorio and her husband Anthony of Kissimmee, FL, Robin Cyr of Manchester, Brian Cyr of Vernon and Monique Cyr of Manchester; grandchildren Nicholas DiGregorio, Aisha Thompson, Katrina Werner, Alex DiGregorio and Lucas Butler; great-grandchildren Cecilia DiGregorio, Sunny and Georgia Thompson, and Maxwell Werner; his siblings Diane Bouchard, Rose-Marie Beaulieu, Raymond Cyr, Delmer Cyr, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. in Manchester on Thursday, November 7 from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at Church of the Assumption, 27 Adams St. S, on Friday, November 8 at 10 am, please meet directly at church. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery.
