Eric Anderson Obituary

Eric Daniel Anderson
Eric Daniel Anderson (42), of Coventry, CT, passed away on June 23, 2023. Born on April 2nd, Eric lived his early childhood in Colchester, CT and moved to Vernon, CT at the age of 4. Eric spent much of his youth participating in boy scouts, Rockville Little League baseball, and travel soccer. During his high school years, Eric found his passion for cooking while working at Rein's Deli. He also enjoyed VW cars and playing varsity baseball and soccer before graduating from Rockville High School in 2000. He went on to play soccer at Manchester Community College. Aside from his passion for sports, Eric's creativity and artistic ability was showcased in his craftsmanship. His drawings, photography, pottery, and woodworking were among many gifts that he gave to family and friends. His imagination transformed to landscaping, which was always evident in his meticulously crafted yards and gardens. Eric found much enjoyment in the outdoors, from various bass fishing tournaments, spending the day on Coventry Lake, numerous Hog River canoe trips, golfing, and hitting the slopes during the winter months. Eric cherished family celebrations, watching Patriots games, and his dog Maggie. Eric was always willing to lend a helping hand. When in need, he was the first to volunteer and the last to leave. Eric was a lineman for IBEW Local 42, he participated in hurricane and storm relief efforts and took pride in his workmanship. Family was everything to Eric. He loved spending time with his elders, laughing with his cousins, and playing with his nieces and nephews. Eric's greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Brooke, whom they share the same passion for fishing and she carries a glowing resemblance of him.
Eric is survived by his daughter, Brooke and her mother, Sandra Cristelli of Tolland, CT; his parents, Christine and Daniel Anderson of Tolland, CT; his brothers and their wives, Timothy and Elizabeth Anderson of Tolland, CT and Brian and Kaitlyn Anderson of Columbia, CT; his nieces and nephews, Jenna, Nicholas, Katie, Caroline, Charlotte, Owen, and Joanna; his aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. For online condolences please visit: www.pietrasfuneralhome.com

I just learned yesterday about Eric's tragic passing and I am so sorry for the loss. The Eric I knew was sweet and thoughtful, extremely hardworking, creative and kind. I pray for comfort for his family and friends. I thought I'd share some pictures from way back, for those who would like to remember. Here is Eric at his graduation, so proud and also goofy. Eric at an ice skating outing, wearing the scarf because I liked it on him. Eric playing basketball with Brian on a perfect spring afternoon. God bless him and those who love him- what a sad loss.

My condolences to the Anderson family. I only knew of Eric through his brother Tim who I work with. I've heard many stories about how they golfed together and attended family events. Based on the human being Tim is I'm sure Eric was of the same caliber. So sorry to hear this and the loss of good man, Eric Anderson.

To Erics family and loved ones. My deepest sympathy and condolences on your loss. I knew Eric and also worked with him years ago. He was a talented intelligent guy. Mostly he was just a good person. Willing to help someone. He always seemed calm and collected. Far too young to be gone. I was shocked to hear it. I will remember laughs and how he seemed to always have a smile or grin. May all the good memories you have, help you all at such a difficult time.

My heart is broken for my older brother Eric who always looked out for me growing up. I will never stop missing you. One happy and funny memory I have is my first day of high school. You drove Tim,Darren and I in your red VW car. When we walked in you told Tim and Darren to get lost and find their own classes. But not me you brought me to all my classes that day to make sure I didn´t look like a lost freshmen. I have so many fond memories of growing up with you!!Forever in my heart. Love Alicia Larochelle

I met Eric years ago as a fresh journeyman lineman. He had a wealth of knowledge of linework and a yr h oval mind for it. He was a natural due to his intelligence which intimidated some. For me it was a godsend. He taught me so much and we became very close friends. I´d call him frequently and he´d call me frequently even after we stopped working together. Friends for years. His technical mind got us out a few binds. I had nothing but respect for this guy. I really care about him. I´m so sad and broken hearted to hear this. I give my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Eric, you´ll always be in my heart buddy.
