Francesco Gennusa
Francesco "Frank" Gennusa, 95, of Enfield, beloved widower to Annina "Anna" (Rosato) Gennusa, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2024, with his family by his side.
He was born February 17, 1929, in Bisacquino, Sicily, Italy to Teodoro and Rosalia (Lucia) Gennusa. He and his wife immigrated to the United States in 1963 and eventually made Enfield their forever home. Frank was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Enfield and worked construction for many years until his retirement. He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and most recently his great-grandson, Noah. Frank took pride in his remarkable garden, growing vegetables of all kinds and treasured his fig trees.
He is survived by his children; his daughter, Rosalie Fusco and her husband Daniel of Cheshire; his son, Theodore Gennusa of Enfield; his brother, Bernardo Gennusa and his wife Nela of Sicily; his grandchildren, Richard and his wife Dana, Sarah "Flo", and Frank and Mark and his great-grandson, Noah. He was predeceased by his wife Annina in 2019.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St., Enfield. Burial will follow at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, 1558 King St., Enfield.
