George Ouillette Obituary

George Russell Ouillette, 84, of Manchester, died Friday, March 16, 2007.

Born November 27, 1922, in Dorchester, Mass., he grew up in East Hartford and spent his adult life in Manchester.

He is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 63 years. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Patrick Michael Brown of Manchester; his beloved grandchildren, Kimberley Churchill of Manchester, Michael Brown and his wife, PJ Propes of Norwalk. Also left to remember "Pa" are his very special great-grandchildren, Kylie and Jacob Churchill and Leilani and Makena Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. George was predeceased by a son, Russell Ouillette, sister, Ida Crowley, a very special niece, Patricia S. Galuska, an infant granddaughter, and an infant great-granddaughter.

He served during WW II with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 1985. George served as Master of Manchester Lodge 73 A.F. & A.M. and was a member of the Pythagoras Chapter 17 R.A.M. He was also a longtime member of North United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 10 a.m. at North United Methodist Church, 300 Parker St., Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery following the service.

There are no calling hours.

The Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. has care of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 300 Parker St., Manchester, CT 06042.
