Herve Fournier Obituary
Born in Riviere-Du-Loup, Quebec, Canada, on Nov. 9, 1930, son of the late Louis-Isidore and Alice (Castanguay) Fournier, he had lived in South Windsor for 44 years. Before he retired he was a foreman at Nuway Tobacco Co. of South Windsor for 43 years. He was a member of the Church of the Living God of Manchester and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Alain J. Fournier, and his wife, Donna, of Windsor Locks, and Andre' D. Fournier, and his wife, Linda, of Vernon; a brother, Gilbert Fournier, and his wife, Denise, in Quebec; a sister, Berangere Desaulniers of Montreal; three grandchildren, Taylor, twins, Sydney and Griffen Fournier; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Yvette Lavoie.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, South Windsor.
His family will receive friends, Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
