Jackie Holeman Obituary

Jackie "Jack" D. Holeman, 86, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018. He was the beloved husband to the late Beverly June (Ogilvie) Holeman (1995).

Born Nov. 20, 1931, in Ada, Oklahoma, son of the late Fred Ottis and Myrtle Sarah (Wolfe) Holeman, and had resided in Enfield for the past 64 years. Jackie served our country honorably with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Prior to retiring he was employed with Combustion Engineering, Windsor, for 37 years. Pop enjoyed trips to the casinos and he was an avid New England Patriots fan, but his greatest pride and joy was his children and grandchildren: they were his world.

Pop is survived by his children and their spouses, Donald and Deborah Holeman, Susan and David DeGray, Cheryl and Daniel Barile, Sheryl Martin and husband, Jody Souer, and son-in-law Gary Hannon, all of Enfield; his seven beloved grandchildren, Christine Alexander and husband, Marc, Joseph Holeman, Jackie Allen and husband, Nicholas, Paul Hannon and fiancée, Cheryl, Katie Reeve and husband, Ken, Tyler Barile, Dan Barile and wife, Kelly; and six cherished great-grandchildren; also his sister, Alice McKaig of Texas; along with many nieces and nephews.

Jackie's family would like to especially thank his nurses, Marie and Eileen, as well as his caregiver, Joanne, for the exceptional and compassionate care he was given.

Besides his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Hannon (2000); and a brother, Billy Ray Holeman.

Relatives and friends may gather with his family Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon followed by a prayer service at noon with Pastor Barry Andrusik officiating. Interment will then take place with military honors in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
