John Scougall Obituary

John "Jack" Scougall
John "Jack" Scougall, 87, of Enfield, beloved husband of the late Pierrette C. "Pete" Scougall for 53 years, entered into eternal peace Thursday, February 13th, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1937, in Springfield, MA, son of the late John A. and Bernice (Wojtkiewicz) Scougall. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps and lived in the Enfield community since 1964 where he and Pete raised their family. Jack had retired as a quality inspector from Dell Manufacturing Company in Farmington where he had been employed for 39 years. He was a member of Holy Family Church and involved in Boy Scouts and Little League baseball. In retirement, he and Pete liked to travel with friends and to visit family.
Jack is survived by his four sons, Michael Scougall and his wife Peggy of Glastonbury, Christopher Scougall of Colchester, Jeffrey Scougall of AZ, and Gregory Scougall and his wife Debra of Melbourne, FL; eight grandchildren, Jessica Scougall, Lisa and husband Steven Dumont, Ian and wife Mikayla Scougall, Sarah and husband Nathan Main, Andrew and wife Ally Scougall, Daniel Scougall, Lucas Hinck, Allie Campbell and fiancé Brandon Morin; three great-grandsons, Julian, Aiden and Owen. He was predeceased by his wife, Pierrette Scougall; a daughter, Lynn Ann Scougall; and Jack's late companion Jean Berube.
The family thanks the staff and friends of Reflections at Suffield by the River for their care and kindness.
Relatives and Friends are invited for Visitation that will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT. Relatives and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Leete-Stevens for a procession to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Committal with Full Military Honors will follow at St, Patrick's King St. Cemetery. My mom, Jean Berube, and Jack were almost inseparable during the 7 years preceding her death, in 2023. Thanks, Jack for being her constant companion and making her laugh.
