John Spazzarini, 77, of Enfield, CT, passed away on April 16, 2024, at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 20, 1946. John graduated from Enfield High School and went on to own a successful painting business. During retirement, John remained active, continuing to manage his apartment rental business. John carried the family tradition of being a hard worker, he enjoyed going for coffee with friends, joining or hosting dinner parties, socializing, going to the gym or for a walk, and sitting on the bench people watching in front of the town hall. John will be remembered for his infectious smile and his kind and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his son, Steven Spazzarini of Enfield; son Richard (Ricky) Spazzarini and his wife, Kelly, of Suffield, CT; sister Joan (Spazzarini) Rutherford and her husband, George of Texas; nieces Susan and Christine of Texas; granddaughters Samantha, Amber, Kaitlyn and Kylie; four great-grandchildren; along with several close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from Enfield, Provincetown and Fort Lauderdale. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine (Barone) Spazzarini.
The family will hold calling hours on Thursday, May 9th from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road in Enfield. A service will be held on Friday, May 10th at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels at 10 a.m., followed by a burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 1558 King Street in Enfield.
