Joseph Capello Obituary
Joseph John Capello, 81, of Tolland passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH). He was born on October 2, 1943, in Rockville, CT. He is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnne (Buckley) and his children, Karen (Darin) Reed of Huntington, NY and Kimberly (Stephen) Boor of Tolland, CT as well as his sister, Carol Barcomb of Vernon, CT. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Capello, his parents, John and Sophie (Lemek) Capello as well as his brother, Carl Capello and his wife Joyce. He leaves behind five grandchildren who were the light of his life, Matthew, Madelyn, Michael, Emily and Alexander.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, a longtime employee of Colt Manufacturing and a devoted member of the Tolland Lion's Club.
His family will receive family and friends on Thursday, January 9th from 4 p.m. -7 p.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew Church in Tolland, CT on January 10th at 11 a.m. followed by burial at St. Bernard Cemetery.
