Joseph Francis DiBattista
Joseph Francis DiBattista, of Enfield, CT, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 21, 1945 in Hartford, CT to John and Mary Alice (Girouard) DiBattista. He graduated from Windsor Locks High School and Hartford State Technical Institute. Joe worked for Mott Metallurgical, Sweet Life Foods, and Fowler & Huntting. He retired from Fresh Point in Hartford after 30 years as a retail sales manager where he won the East Coast National Sales contest for avocados in October 2018.
Joe served six years in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He coached Enfield youth Basketball and Travel League. He enjoyed both women's and men's UConn basketball. Joe was a dedicated father, grandfather, and husband who enjoyed family outings, get-togethers, and our Italian Christmas Eve traditions.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Joyce "Joy" (Southworth) DiBattista; his daughter Jenny Ingram and her husband, Brett; his son, Kevin Daniel DiBattista and his wife Tali; his grandsons Brett Ingram, Jr. and Rhys Ingram; and his step-granddaughter Lexi Waite and her sons Sam, Eli, and Izzy. He also leaves behind his beloved brother Fred DiBattista and many other cherished relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his dear brother and best friend, John DiBattista.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate or the Connecticut Humane Society https://cthumane.org/ways-to-give
Joe's integrity, dedication to family, strong work ethic, and true goodness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
